Questions we get every week.

If yours isn't here, text (651) 363-4422.

Booking and the appointment

What do I need to have ready?

A working hose spigot and an outdoor or garage outlet within about 50 feet. We bring our own hose, cords, water tank, and every piece of equipment and chemical. If you have no spigot (some apartments and townhomes), text us first.

Do I need to be home?

No. Leave the car unlocked or leave a key somewhere we agree on. We text when we arrive and when we're done, with photos.

How long will it take?

Standard Interior about 1.5 hours, Standard Full about 2, Premium Interior about 2.5, Premium Full about 3.5. Ceramic coatings 3.5 to 4.5 hours. Multiple vehicles add up.

Should I empty the car?

If you can, it helps. If not, we'll set your things aside and put them back. Please remove anything valuable or anything you don't want us to see.

What if it rains?

Interiors go ahead rain or shine. Exteriors get rescheduled if it's pouring or under 40°F. We text you the day before if the forecast looks bad, and you can always reschedule by text.

How do I pay?

After you inspect the work: card, check, Venmo, or cash. Everything except cash is charged Minnesota sales tax.

Do you need a deposit?

No deposit for details, maintenance visits, or add-ons. Pro and MAX ceramic coatings take a $100 deposit at booking, applied to the total.

Results and services

Can you get this stain / smell out?

Usually. We'll give you an honest read when we see it. Some stains (dye, bleach, set-in ink) are permanent. Odors need the ozone add-on. We guarantee our effort and track record, not miracles.

Is pet hair included?

Light pet hair, yes. Heavy pet hair (think "a husky lives here") is $50 to $100 extra depending on how bad. Text us a photo and we'll tell you which.

Do you do paint correction?

No. We ceramic coat, and we'll tell you straight if your paint should be corrected by a shop first.

Do you do boats or RVs?

Yes, within limits: boats to 24 feet, travel trailers and Class B/C, no oxidation removal, no winterization. See boats and RVs.

How do I take care of a ceramic coating?

No washing for 7 days. Then hand wash or touchless only, no brush car washes. Every few weeks is ideal. Our Ceramic Care plan does this for you and keeps your warranty logged.

Do you offer discounts?

10% for military and first responders, mention it at booking. Referrals: your friend gets 10% off their first detail, you get 10% off your next one after theirs is done. Discounts don't stack.

Are you insured?

Yes. Vertex Detailing LLC carries general liability insurance. Ask and we'll send the certificate.
